Your Day at the Farm

  • Plan to arrive at Spring Hill between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m. to help with harvesting and packing. The farm is about one and a half hours' drive from the Twin Cities. See our map for detailed directions.
  • Empty your trunk (except for the spare tire!) to allow as much space as possible for transporting the vegetables back to the Twin Cities.
  • Kids are welcome!
  • Bring a simple dish and beverage to share for our potluck picnic lunch.
  • Bring or wear old clothes. Rubber boots are advisable if the weather has been wet. You might want to bring a change of clothes for kids, depending on the weather. Light-colored clothes are recommended, especially during tick season.
  • Bring work gloves, especially when conditions are wet and muddy. Bring a hat in case it gets hot and sunny.
  • Harvest days do not have rain dates! In other words, we harvest rain or shine.
  • We hope that visits to Spring Hill are safe and enjoyable for all. To help assure that, we offer these guidelines for your safety.
  • Plan to leave Spring Hill by 1:30 p.m. The vegetables need to be at Spring Hill’s pick-up sites by 4pm!
